ANNUAL PROJECTS
SOUL-2-SOLE PROJECT
This project involves the collection of new tennis shoes and or gently used tennis shoes that are taken to the Beacon Center in downtown Houston along with socks donated to us by Bombas and personal hygiene items to be distributed to homeless population living on the streets or shelters.
UPWARD BOUND SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship exists to provide selected college/trade school bound high students with a monetary award to assist in ancillary college needs. The scholarship is awarded to students who complete application requirements and who have shown extraordinary perseverance during their high school years. The Upward Bound Scholarship is intended to be awarded to in the amount of up to $1,000.00.
ANGEL BAG
CAMPAIGN
The issuance of a duffle bag or backpack filled with hygiene products, socks, water bottle, hand wipes, and other needed products for high school students, aged out foster kids and young adults who may be homeless or sleeping on a friends couch. The products may be delivered directly to the youth, an appointed Independent School District (ISD) Social Worker/Advisor, or youth shelter.
BIBLES, BLANKETS& SCRUBS DRIVE
The collection of bible, blankets and scrubs to be donated to a homeless facility. The scrubs are delivered to the Beacon Day Center & Impact Church Homeless Services to be temporarily used when the clients clothing are being washed.
